My background

My craving for art and creativity began as soon as I was old enough to hold a crayon. All my life, I knew I had to pursue my passion of becoming an artist. After finishing my first Bachelor’s Degree in 2D Studio Art, I went on to graduate with honors from the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago, in Visual Communications. After graduating, I began my design career at TimeOut Chicago Magazine, the go-to magazine for Chicagoans. I absolutely loved working here and thrived in the fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. I learned so much about the industry and grew a lot within my years there.

After TimeOut, I moved on to a Marketing Director position for Stoelting Co. in Wood Dale, Illinois. I tenured here for more than a decade. I'm grateful to say I've done everything marketing for them. I've designed tradeshow booths, and catalogs, created books and board games, worked with authors to evolve and produce psychological tests. I've collaborated with engineers to generate user interface design. I've made company YouTube videos and do product photography. The variety of projects are endless. I've expanded my talents and challenged my creativity everyday. In the past five years, I've worked for Stoelting as a freelance designer/contractor.

My goal is to develop my client base, and grow my own marketing design business. On a more personal note, my husband and I have three amazing children. I'm a SPENGA enthusiast and want-to-be minimalist (fingers crossed, ha!). I was a division one collegiate spring board diver, and youth diving coach. With all this, along with my 20 years of marketing and design experience, I know the importance of being mindful in whatever it is you do. And there it is folks…welcome to Mindsense Marketing!
